How to apply for Verification and re-evaluation at the Challenge Window of CBSE Grade X?

Note:

The candidate will have to make a nominal fee payment ( INR 100.00) and obtain the scanned answer book. After receiving the answer paper, the student is eligible to proceed to the next step in the challenge process.

  • A candidate must enter CBSE's challenge portal using the login: https://www.cbse.gov.in/newsite_old/rchk.html.

  • The Candidate should select the service: Verification issue or revaluation. 

  • A. Verification Issue: ( ₹100 per answer book)

    • The candidate is entitled to present objections to the scanned copy on the following issues. They can report concerns to the concerned authority online, such as missing pages, supplementary sheets, missing maps or graphs, blurred pages, uploading the answer booklet, or evaluation against a different question paper. 

  • B. Re-evaluation of Answers : (₹25 per question).

    • A candidate can challenge the validity of their answers by following the steps below. For every challenged answer, they must follow the established procedure, as follows. 

    • The candidate must enter the following details:

  • Question number, paper number, awarding of marks, stating the marks claimed by the candidate, and a brief reason for the re-evaluation. 

  • After furnishing the details, the candidate must make the online payment. It could be through UPI, Debit  Card, Credit Card, and Net Banking. 

  • After the payment is confirmed, the candidate must submit and save the document while the process is in progress. The candidate must verify the subjects and the concerned questions before final submission. 

  • The candidate must download the payment confirmation page or take a printout for future reference.

CBSE has opened the challenge window for the Grade X students who have given their board exams in 2026. The challenge window allows eligible candidates to apply for verification of marks on the answer paper and even re-evaluation of specific answers. Thus, making the exam pattern absolutely transparent and building faith and trust between the board and the students online.
