BRIDGE Framework best for Grades 1 to 5: Resonance Schools
We understand that the pre-primary years are the most significant time in which to lay the foundations for a child's future academic achievement and this is what we believe at Resonance Schools. This is a particularly critical transitional phase from the joyful exploration phase of learning in grades 1-5 learning to the rigor of the secondary grades. In order to ensure this journey we have created the BRIDGE framework, a balanced curriculum for the primary school which aims to transition students from good foundations to confident, curious and capable learners.
What is the Resonance BRIDGE Framework's Architecture?
Learning in the primary years is more than just 'Topping up the syllabus' it is developing a 'Supportive Foundation' that will provide balance and stability in the future. The introduction of our primary school learning system has enabled students to build conceptual understanding, rather than merely memorizing facts and knowledge. The Resonance Schools BRIDGE Framework is anchored on six key pillars, covering all aspects of a child's development:
Basics & Scholastics: A good foundation of core subject education. This comprises English (including LSRW – Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing – elements), Mathematics, Science/EVS, and multiple languages.
Spirituality & Valuing: Inspires the heart to appreciate with true value and sensitivity. Students are encouraged to engage in inquiry using reasoning skills, learning the "why" of all the concepts that they learn through the tasks of aptitude.
Innovation & Digital Readiness: Understanding the impact and change of technology on the way we learn, we are providing a holistic programme starting from early years on Digital readiness including computers, ICT 360 and financial literacy.
Discipline, Values & Life Skills: we focus on the development of soft skills, and values-based education to ensure the development of responsible, empathetic and disciplined humans.
Creativity & Wellness: Physical wellness and artistic expression as part of daily routine. We develop the coordination and physical confidence the students need in art, craft and sport, and yoga.
Enrichment & Exposure: Students are offered a wide range of learning opportunities via enrichment and extension activities both in and out of the classroom, as well as through club activities and house competitions.
Resonance’s own pedagogical approach:
We go past "routine instruction" in our classrooms for the Grades 1 to 5 curriculum. We use concept based teaching, Activity Centred Tasks and Guided Discovery at Resonance. We implement a "learning by doing" approach and hands-on exploration, thus lending the learning more sense and meaningfulness.
This is an interactive pedagogical approach that stimulates the student to explore his or her creativity during collaborative assignments. Our pedagogy programs, such as "Laughing Bell" or the “NIE Newspaper Partnership” are designed to ensure that learning is not confined to the classroom, but has a complementary dimension that is external to it. Use of this method turns the classroom into a thinking environment in which the students learn to learn by themselves.
At Resonance Schools, excellence is never random but it's good as it is a calculated Equation for Excellence. The primary years are the critical bridge that links the research-driven early learning and holistic, classroom-based routines our ROOT framework organizes with the advanced academic rigour of the secondary 8 Foundations Framework.
As a result, our students in grade 1 – 5 are fully equipped to face the competitive exam platform for competitive exams like Olympiad, JEE, NEET etc. in class 6th onwards. Our intent is to inspire pupils to become high achievers with a view to preparing them for examinations and for the demands of life.
Start the Resonance learning journey right from the cradle and provide your child with the correct learning foundation at all ages. Find out how our BRIDGE framework will bring out the best in your child to help them be their best for the rest of their lives.
